Student status codes describe the state of the student in the school district and are used in attendance totaling. These codes display throughout GradeBook, such as on the Update Student window Main tab. Student status codes are imported as part of the student’s record, but they do not automatically populate on this screen. You must manually enter any student status codes on the Student Status Codes screen to match those that display on the Student Status Codes Maintenance screen in StudentInformation. The most commonly used codes are Active and Inactive, though they may also be used in hybrid learning environments to designate students as remote learners or in-person learners. See “District Features” for more information about displaying the student status code to teachers.
