Attendance days codes are covered in detail in “Initial District Setup” and must be created when setting up school calendars (see “Adding Attendance Day Codes” ). These codes represent the types of days on which school is in session. Each day type, such as full day, half day, or holiday, is assigned a value. In addition to using the attendance day codes to set up the calendars, the value of the type of each day is used in calculating attendance totals. For example, if a student is marked absent on a day that is designated on the school calendar as a half day, the attendance calculation uses the multiplier defined on the Attendance Day Codes screen.
